Hatch eggs of brine shrimps; nothing easier! Things get more complicated when it comes the time of separate the artemia nauplii just hatched from their shells!

Ocean nutrition offers you "THE" solution with its new range of revolutionarybrine shrimp eggs (Cysts) !!! For my part, I consider this innovation as one of the most interesting that I was able to see on the tradeshow of Interzoo 2012. A discovery made in the middle of new equipments for discus.

Artemia GSL SEP Art technology Ocean Nutrition

Of a disconcerting easy use, I invite you to discover the range Sep - Art Artemia from trademark Ocean Nutrition.

Ocean nutrition is not in its test run, Since the brand had already delighted fans of discus with granulates for discus, blood worm shaped Discus formula pellets. The new artemias eggs Sep - Art Artemia » should interest many discus enthusiasts and other aquarium fish breeders.

I am back with some pictures I share with you on the blog Fanatik-Discus; and I'm glad to share three videos made by the company Ocean Nutrition.

The first video explains the principle of operation of Sep - Art Artemia. The shells are "simply" snap and crowd on a magnet in the incubation water ( no matter if they are empty or full). So, it becomes easy to separate the nauplii of brine shrimps that they absolutely not react with the presence of the magnet.

Only the cysts of ocean nutrition react to the magnet.

This second video is an interview with Erik Van Den Brande from the Group Ocean Nutrition which I reiterate the remarks for the "non-English speakers"..

"This experience is very positive.", We met a lot of our distributors worldwide . Interzoo is the most respected fair who takes place every two years; "it allows us to be in direct relationship with our customers and represents an excellent opportunity to present them our new products. […]

"The product that we present are artemia brine shrimps cysts that hobbist are used to hatch, but after hatching, they have difficulties separating the cysts not hatched and nauplii. "This is why we have developed for them a method who allow to separe it very easily»

"I think that the most important thing is to bring the ease.", the product must be good quality, good for fish and easy to use. With regard to users; people want easy-to-use products, which work well and convenient. And this is what we try to do on our range. "

  1. The separation of the shells by magnetization is used in Ireland where my BTS aquaculture study class visited a salmon-farming. The young are fed thanks to Artemia decapsulated with this method and that it seems quite effective and patented !
