Fanatik-discus appeared on the web in February 2008. This blog was born from my desire to share about this fish that unleashed passions… The discus.
You are every months more and more numerous to follow my news dedicated to this aquarium fish.
It was simply normal for me to come here to thank you…

The website is now more than four years years old. At this time, There was a large amount of forum dedicated to the discus, but few of blog.
The idea then came to me to share my passion with those who wished to.
The first version of the blog quickly became limited, and thanks to my friend David Lassalle it is in December 2011 that site has taken off. Indeed, his help was invaluable (It is still regularly! 😉 ) in order to run a more modern version of Fanatik-Discus.
Without his help, I would not be there! Thanks again David!!!
From the beginning, my friends fans of’discus aquariums did not hesitate to participate in this project; and I thank them again! I also think to Raymond, Victor, Lilian, Cüneyt, Jeffrey who regularly contribute to the quality of published informations and pictures.
More than 1000 fans for a blog dedicated to the discus
From today, the website Fanatik-Discus "New look" has welcomed over 100 000 visitors (December 2011 to September 2013). You are more than 1600 fans to follow the information on this site 'special Discus " on Facebook…
It is every day by hundreds you come to read articles I could write about this little aquarium fish…
It is not always easy to create enthusiasm and keep readers in suspense… but my passion is still burning, and I hope that you enjoy everything that will arrive!
Informations dedicated to the discus
My goals will be the same. Bring the informations quality and relevant, Stay for a long time and share.
Regularly, I get to ask aboutinformations from passionates. I think it will have to fill out some categories of the blog with moreinformations dedicated to the care, the identification of varieties, the prevention of problems, the reproduction etc…
Because a large number of visits go to articles dedicated to the maintenance of the discus.
I think to Bassem who in, Egypt has reproduced and raised its first discus. We exchanged a lot through social networks and I am happy to know that, to this day my help have allowed him to realize one of his dreams!
What challenge for him to live his passion, in a country that has known disorders we know… Congratulations again to you Bassem!
This kind of adventures give me the desire to continue again and again…
And here are his results… I found the name of his small farm: Pyramids discus farm !!! (You will understand why a little bit later)

To make a sward with discus, won't be very easy…
I advise you to consult the website tropica.com where you will find a lot of informations on plants.
Generally, This kind of plants need strong light, a good rate of CO2 etc.…. Things not necessarily compatible with discus.
